By Jane Ayres
a curl of cloud
a curd
a turd
potency
(im) potency
this shadow pain
the start of the loop
the right truth?
the wrong truth?
don’t eat the roses
or lick the ice
on the windscreen
a surge of neon peach
severing the vocal chords
your voice wraps me in silence
